Runner, Sinopa, Cory Lance - June 17, 1988 - December 7, 2017 It is with saddened hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, brother, nephew, uncle and grandson. Sinopa Cory Lance Runner was called home by our Creator on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at the age of 29 years. Cory attended school in Calgary, AB and later obtained several workforce certificates. In his earlier years, he grew up around his great grandparents' farm, where he enjoyed the many activities around the family home. He was a very compassionate, thoughtful and humble young man, whom always greeted family and friends with a smile on his face. His younger cousins always felt his loving devotion and gentle presence. He will be remembered for the love he had for his entire family and for his willingness to help out wherever he could. His patience and mechanical skills enabled him to repair anything that needed fixing. He will also be remembered for his sense of humor and generosity. Cory will be deeply missed by his maternal Grandmother Rosella Ayoungman, paternal grandfather George Wright, Traditional grandmother Beverly Runner, his loving father Cody (Randa) Wright; brothers and sisters Wayne, CJ, Tannis (Duffy), Regan, Jed and Carlon; aunts and uncles Lenora (Elroy) Rabbit Carrier, Nora (Edward) Smith, Brian Ayoungman, Floyd (Krista) Dixon, Cecile (Horton) Running Rabbit, Lori Ann (Alex) Scalp Lock, Leroy (Marsha) Wolf Collar and Jody Wright; cousins James (Cee-Jay), Nicole, Brian Jr., Paul, Taylor, Randy, Strater, Terrance, Edward Jr., Royce, Graci, Alexi, Karma, Nate, Amina, Jarrett, Ricci, Josee, Alex 3rd, Georgi, Tiariah, Troy, April, Jacey, Brett, Leslie, Janine, Crystal, Nevin; nephew Taze; Godparents Ted Ayoungman and Glenda Spotted Eagle; and special friend Rae Scout. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and many relatives from Siksika Nation, Tsuu T'ina Nation, Kainai, Nakoda Nation and Montana, USA. Cory was granted eternal rest to be reunited with his mother Rena Pearl Runner, grandfather Floyd Runner; traditional grandfather Tom Runner; grandmother Doreen Wright; great grandparents Rev. Arthur and Nora Ayoungman Sr., George and Rose Runner, Russell and Julia Wright; great, great, great grandmother Margaret Bad Boy, who treasured him dearly; and aunt Karen Lily Wright; who were all so much a part of his life. Wake Services will be held at Siksika Nation Memorial Arbour on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Siksika Nation Memorial Arbour on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Canon Stockton Cemetery.
