Donald Thompson December 29, 1965 - March 16, 2018 Donald Thompson, age fifty-two, died on Saturday, March 16, from cancer. Don died at home, surrounded by his family. Born and raised in Edmonton, Don moved to Sidney, BC, with his mother, Anne Thompson, in 2012. Despite his challenges, Don was an avid fixer and builder around the home and yard. He was a caring and gentle man, who enjoyed talking with everyone he met. He loved his Christmas lights, and he was fondly known as Mr. Christmas by his Sidney neighbours. Don is predeceased by his father, Donald Ray. He is survived by his mother, Anne; sister, Val Glossop; brother-in-law, Mike Glossop; brother, Bill; And five nieces and nephews (who all loved their uncle, dearly), Danna, Brandon, Meredith, Stephan, and Lauren. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Edmonton Christmas Bureau, or to your local Santa's Anonymous. Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., at St. Paul's United Church, in Sidney, BC.
