Cotton, Allan John May 22, 1924 - April 9, 2019 It is with great sadness that we, the two families of Allan John Cotton, announce his passing in the early morning of April 9, 2019. He lived his 95 years as a kind, gentle and considerate man, who showed his love for us through his thoughts, words and actions. We in turn loved him to bits and feel so blessed to have known him. His profession was that of a Millwright for Sherritt Gordon Mines and he served his country well during WWII as a large engine mechanic in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Al is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Lil, his son David (Mary), daughter Connie (Ron) and stepchildren; Connie (Rick), Jackie (Bill), Jocelyn, and Blaine (Joanne). He adored and was equally adored by numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. Al gave the greatest hugs! A Celebration of Al's Life will be held on Monday, April 15 at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Road NW, Edmonton, AB. In lieu of flowers, donations in Al's name may be made to The Legion Poppy Fund. The online guestbook at www.evergreenmemorial.com Published on April 11, 2019 in The Edmonton Journal, AB
