The Citizen, Prince George, BC

Joan Frechette April 20, 1941 - March 12, 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joan Frechette. She has been reunited with her beloved Clem to dance the night away to the YMCA once more. She is survived by her children, Rick (Cindy), Craig, Brent and Tracy as well as 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is survived by her brother Lloyd (Delores) Wickes. Joan was a fun-loving woman who always hit the punch line, keeping those around her in stitches. She was an avid crafter, talented actress, accomplished cook and gifted florist. Always involved in her community, Joan was active in many organizations such as Beta Sigma Phi, the Royal Purple, the Red Hatters, North Central Seniors Assn. and ECRA. Joan's heart was focused on her family. She, along with Clem, left their loved ones with countless memories of trips, hot cross bun days, cookie making and family dinners. She made everyone feel welcome and valued. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, March 24 at the Elder Citizens Recreation Society. Our family would like to sincerely thank the Rotary Hospice House for their care and kindness. Although Joan loved flowers, we encourage donations to be made in her memory to Cancer Research or the Rotary Hospice House. Published in The Prince George Citizen from Mar. 21 to Mar. 23, 2018
