Koya Yoshida May 31, 1937 - March 25, 2019 Koya Yoshida, beloved brother and uncle, died peacefully at home on March 25, 2019. He was 81. Koya was born May 31, 1937 in Steveston, British Columbia. He was forced to move to the B. C interior as a young boy with his family during the Second World War along with thousands of other Japanese-Canadians, but later returned to Vancouver after the war. He attended the University of British Columbia where he graduated in Commerce. Koya worked for the Marubeni Corporation where he help build the Japanese Conglomerate's Hitachi heavy equipment business in Canada. Always quick with a joke or a funny story, he could be found more often than not on a golf course after retirement. Koya's death follows the death of his parents and two brothers Masumi and Makio. He will be missed by his three sisters Etsuyo, Sumiyo and Teruyo, his youngest brother Shiro and his niece and nephew Kelly and Craig. Glenhaven Memorial Chapel, BC, 2019-05-31
