McCartney, William (Will) John March 25, 1965 - March 10, 2018 Will passed away peacefully due to complications from an aneurysm on March 10. Leaving behind his loving wife Mindy, children; daughter Carli (Dylan Gould), son Brad, and granddaughter Avery. Also leaving behind father Michael McCartney (Paddy), brother Ross, sister Michelle (Charlie Askin), nephews, James (Chrystal), Chris and Niece Katie, great-Niece Riley and great-Nephew Ezra, Mother-in-law Carla Miller, brother-in-law Ray McCall and niece Emily. Predeceased by mother Jacqueline McCartney (nee Allcroft). Will was born in Prince George. After various moves settled in Ladner at 8 years old. Building forts and boating on slough behind the house on Arthur Drive, which he remodeled with his mother and brother. Music was his first love. He was an accomplished guitar player. He formed many bands over the years composing and playing his own original music. One of his songs was even played on C-fox radio station which he was very proud of. He made his living as a finish carpenter. He has worked for many contractors who have spoken very highly of him and have referred to him as a good honest man. He enjoyed building model railways and playing pool on his antique pool table which he refurbished. He was a mentor to several young men in all his fields of expertize whether in music, carpentry or model railroads. He enjoyed many family trips to Shawnigan to recharge his batteries. He was loved and will be missed by many friends and family. HE HAS FOUND HIS STAIRWAY to Heaven! Celebration of Life will be held at Ladner United Church, 4960 48 Ave. Delta, B.
