Patricia Martin (June 01, 1930 - May 26, 2018) Martin, Patricia (nee Greer), passed away suddenly, surrounded by family, on May 26, 2018. Born June 1, 1930 in Kingston, ON, daughter of the late Col. Horace Charles Greer & Marguerite Greer (nee Tomney). Patricia was predeceased by the love of her life, Rear-Admiral Michael A. Martin, who died January 27, 2018. She was the little sister of Kay, Margot, Jim and Holly and survived by her son Peter (Yvonne/Bonnie); by her daughter Annie Shea (Michael); by her son Andrew (Teresa) and grandchildren Matthew, Michael, Andrew, Daniel, Maeghan, Joscelin and Keira, who all referred to her as the coolest little Granny ever! As a devoted Navy wife of over 66 years, Patricia lived, and served her country, all over the world, but always called Victoria her home. From sherry and soup lunches for naval wives, dinner parties and gala events at Admirals House, to enjoying a glass of wine and shrimp sandwiches with friends and family, she was a remarkably gifted and gracious hostess with a warm and welcoming smile at the door. A joyous Memorial Service will be held for Patricia & Michael on June 14th at 1 pm, at St. Paul's Naval Garrison Church, Esquimalt, BC, followed by A Celebration of Life at the Officers' Wardroom. Together their ashes will be committed at sea in the vicinity of Albert Head, a place near and dear to their hearts. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Arthritis Society, BC & YT Div., 895 West 10th Ave, Vancouver, BC V5Z 1L7, 1-866-414-7766.
