Plyley, A. Grant Of Valleyview Home, St. Thomas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 7th, 2019 at the age of 86. Beloved husband and best friend of Margaret Alice (Whitelock) Plyley. Dearly loved father of Michael Plyley and his wife Kim of Chatham and cherished grandfather of Nolan. Grant was the last of his family, predeceased by his siblings Helen, Dorland, Gordon, Mary and Marjorie and by his late nephew Wayne Miller. He will be lovingly remembered by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Grant was born in Rodney, Ontario on July 4th, 1932, son of the late Arlington and Mary (Gillies) Plyley. Grant was a former member of St. Stephen's Anglican Church. He was retired from Union Gas. Grant loved hockey and was an avid Leaf's fan that never lost hope. He enjoyed a good game of golf and mornings with his coffee buddies. During his stay at Valleyview he enjoyed new connections and wonderful friendships. Grant was a man whose presence made everyone feel at ease. He gave without ever wanting anything in return and loved his family dearly. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, St. Thomas where funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 11th, 2019 at 2:00pm. Cremation to follow with private interment of ashes in St. Stephen's Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 10th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.
