Michael Allan MacDonald (06/21/1955 - 03/17/2018) King of Canadian Comedy Mike, born June 21, 1955 in Metz, France, passed away at The Ottawa Heart Institute on March 17, 2018, due to heart complications. Pre-deceased by his father Reginald and survived by his Mother Colette, his wife Bonnie, his brothers J. P. (Lyn) and David (Shannon), nephew and niece Matthew (Michelle) and Amanda (Jacob), great nieces Chloe and Madison and extended family from Nova Scotia. Mike is well known as one of Canada's top stand up comedians. In a career that spanned 40-years, Mike influenced and mentored comedians from around the world and was loved and respected by his peers. He loved entertaining the troops and was honoured to do so on many occasions here in Canada and in Dubai, South Korea and several tours of Afghanistan. Mike was so grateful to have been an organ donor recipient. Many thanks to the Toronto General Hospital transplant team and to the dedicated staff at The Ottawa Heart Institute.
