Vanderwielen, Mary - Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at C. E. E. Hospital of Bluewater Health in Petrolia on Monday, November 26, 2018, Mary Vanderwielen of Wyoming at the age of 87. Mary's passion in life was her family, extended family and close friends. She will be remembered by many for her strong faith, which was always shown with her warm smile, generosity, caring and thoughtfulness for all. She was a courageous, loving and wonderful family anchor and will be truly missed in many special ways, especially the rice krispies or the homemade soup many enjoyed. Mary was predeceased by her husband John (2008). She will be deeply missed by her children Marion (Jim) Burr, Hank & Kim, Herb & Shirley, Irene & Ron Scott, Ray & Heather, Anita & Paul Hendra, Linda & Randy Grant, and Janice & Jeff DeVlugt. Cherished Grandma and Oma of Michelle & Jess, Susanne & John, Julie & Michael, Alysia & David, Amy & Derek, Jenni & Marty, Wes & Nancy, Karlene & Ryan, Kevin & Tarah, Kyle & Amanda, Jason, Andy & Brittany, Maegan, Mary, Alison, Keli, Josalyn, Natalie, and Chantal. Great Grandma and Oma to twentyone and counting. Mary is survived by brothers and sisters, Ted (Dorothy) Donkers, Berta (the late Jack) Berkers, Bill (Joanne) Donkers, Rina (the late Chris) Westelaken, Harry (Ann) Donkers, Ricky (Albert) Van Moorsel, Martin (Mary) Donkers and predeceased by Sister Huberta Maria, Toni (the late Ted) Verwegen, Tony (Mary) Donkers, John (Elizabeth) Donkers, Adrian (the late Ann) Donkers, and Piet (the late Hanna) Donkers. Mary was predeceased by the Vanderwielen brothers and sisters and will be truly missed by their families. Visitors will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Wyoming Chapel of Needham-Jay Funeral Home, 650 Broadway St., Wyoming, parish prayers will be offered at 4 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Philips Parish, 415 King St. Petrolia. Interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca) and St. Vincent de Paul Society.
