Hamilton, Ross Allan September 12, 1949 - January 28, 2019 A great life that ended far too soon, Ross Allan Hamilton, passed away at the Margaret Behan Hospice in Newmarket after a long battle with cancer. He leaves his partner of nine years Christine Tomaselli and their Golden Retriever Ella Blu, his beloved son, Geoff Hamilton and his wife Renee Hamilton and their daughter Kylee and Ross' much loved daughter Emma Calderone and her partner Brandy, his brother and sister-in-law Paul and Diane Hamilton and his nephew Colin Hamilton and his former wife Toni Hamilton. Ross was predeceased by his brother, Scott Hamilton. Ross was a loyal Toronto Maple Leafs fan and reveled in his weekly hockey games with the Unionville Men's Hockey League that energized his competitive spirit and fed his passion for the game at all levels. He was an avid golfer and while the game often got the better of him, he brought his eternal optimism to every course. Ross loved travel, reading, photography, sports, great food and red wine, but nothing more than a great laugh with good friends and family. Ross had recently retired as a founding partner of The Tramore Group and spent part of his retirement offering consulting services to the organization he helped to build. One of his colleagues recently described the essence of Ross as 'a truly great man. ' He will be missed forever by those who loved him most. A celebration of life will be held in February and donations in remembrance of him would be most appreciated at the Margaret Bahen Hospice. https://www.myhospice.ca/support-my-hospice/ Published in the Toronto Star on Jan. 30, 2019
