Parker, Charles Lawrence (C. L.) Charles Lawrence Parker passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at the Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit in Regina at the age of 93 years young. C. L. was born on the Parker farm south of Leross, SK on October 27, 1925 to parents Charles and Elizabeth Parker. In his younger days he farmed alongside his family, before going to work in BC with his brother Harold. In 1945 C. L. met the love of his life Doris Norlin. After courting for two years they married on June 14, 1947. They lived on the Parker farm and in March of 1948 they were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Lorraine. In August 1949, twins Dennis and Donald came along. C. L. and Doris moved to Ontario for a time before returning to Leross to operate the town hall with the theatre and manage a Co-op store. In January of 1964 they welcomed the arrival of their daughter Marilyn. He worked for the Department of Highways for 17 years before retiring in 1987. C. L. was predeceased by his parents Charles and Elizabeth; infant son Donald; son Dennis; infant brother; sister Gladys; and brother Harold; as well as many other relatives. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 72 years Doris; daughters Lorraine and Marilyn; grandson Thayne Bulych (Andrea) and their children Joie and Paisley; grandson Devon Stout; granddaughter Cristi Frank; niece and nephew Eileen and Doug Parker; as well as numerous, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. As per C. L. 's wishes no funeral service will be held and he will be laid to rest with his sons and his parents at a later date.
