There is a John Duba/Dube who joined the Continental Army in October 1777 as a private and served in a company of Col. James Livingston's New York Regiment. If you have an account on Ancestry.com (US), you should be able to access Fold3. You will find a Pension Application with his service information. He served with Livingston's regiment for four years and, then joined Capt. Clement Gosselin's Company in Moses Hazen's Regiment. The Daughters of the American Revolution recognize this John Duba as a Patriot for his service. Jean-Baptiste Dube was baptized at Notre-Dame-du-Quebec 15 March 1751. He married Elizabeth Storm about 1781-1782. He died 11 May 1826 in the Borough of Manhattan, New York City. I hope this is your ancestor. My ancestor also served in Hazen's Reg. and, though not of direct descent, Clement Gosselin is a distant cousin of mine.
