Roer, Orvall Kenneth Orv was born May 6, 1931 in Cabri, Saskatchewan. His family moved to Edmonton and he worked as a paper boy, golf caddy, and truck driver in the oil fields to attend the University of Alberta where he obtained his BSc in Pharmacy in 1956. Orv moved to Victoria where he worked at Colwood Pharmacy for almost 45 years-many of which were in a wonderful partnership with Jim and Donna Swanson. Orv was the first president of Pharmasave in the early 1980s, a senator in the B. C. Pharmacy Association for two years, and greatly enjoyed his career as a pharmacist in the community. Orv passed away on March 14, 2018 in Victoria, BC and leaves to mourn his wife of 58 years, Freda, daughters Linda (Gord) Marshall, Kristin (Norm) Wright, and granddaughters Lauren and Paige as well as his sister Marlyn (Ray) Downey and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. No service by request. Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date. A donation may be made to Alzheimer's Society or please donate blood and encourage others to do so.
