I am interested to connecting to my Labbé cousins in Quebec in general. I am eager to determine where in France the Labbe's originated.

My ancestor Jean Baptisté Labbe died in New Orleans, Louisiana on March 9, 1728 and had emigrated from Quebec. He was married to Christine Allard - though I am not sure whether they married in Quebec or the US. So, Jean Baptiste was born in Quebec on or before about 1700.

Do you have any information on the Labbé family in general or Jean Baptiste in specific?
