My great-great grandfather William (or George, I'm not sure) Griffiths, a soldier (possibly in the King's Royal Rifles) was stationed in Montreal? in the early 1850s. His wife's name was Mary Ann Jacques and some of their children were born and baptised in a garrison chapel in Quebec. Can anybody help me to get some details, especially of their son William George, my great-grandfather, who was born and baptised in Quebec and later enlisted - while a teenager and living in Malta - in The King's Royal Rifles? Any info or help will be appreciated.
