Joseph Wallingsford (1768-1832) and wife Genevieve Konblock ( about 1779 - 1847)
Following is my research so far, with some questions.

1803 - Dec 19 - Joseph Wallingsford marries Jane Conoleau (#4775175)
Did not find records for any children. Bride and groom signatures.
1804 - Feb 3 - Joseph and Marie Anne Conorlow have child - Jean Henri (#2454407)
1809 - Oct 18 - Joseph and Marie Anne Conoblo have child - Marie Catherine (#2389485)
1813 - Dec 16 - Joseph and Marie Anne Quenoblecu have child - Francois Nicolas (#2742291)
1816 - July 11 - Joseph and Marie Anne Quenobleuc have child - Edouard (#2742550)

1818 - March 17 - Joseph marries M-Anne Indien/ Quenonbleux (____ x Cath. Sauvage, ?? R. - Jeantot),
Children: Jon-Henri, M-Anne, Cath, Joseph, Frans-Nic., Chs-Edourd (card file)

It appears on this card file that no parents are given for Joseph. Only the mother, Cath. Sauvage is given for the bride. Is R, Jeantot a witness?
After this date mother is Genevieve Knoblock (various spellings) on records- Did she change her first name after marriage?

1820 - Jan 21 - birth of twins, George and Pierre Cyrille (#2742905&6) The twins die 2 months later (#2744593)
1822 - Oct 01 - birth of son, George ( my second Great Grandfather) (#2743245)
1826 - Oct 09 - marriage of daughter Catherine to Antoine Truchon (#3487504)
1827 - Sept 03 - marriage of son John Henri to Marie Louise Goyet (#3511867)
1831 - April 17 - death of son Joseph, 18 years (#4212190)

1832 - Dec 16 - Burial of Joseph Wallingsford (assumed to be the same) age 64 (#4215666)

1836 - April 12 - Genevieve marries Joseph Lemay Delorme (#83535625)

1836 - April 9 - Notary entry indexed on other database "Inventaire des biens de la communaute d'entre Joseph Willingford et feue Genevieve Konnoblack." Have not located the content of this document but may provide useful information. Seems to imply that Genevieve has passed--perhaps an error. Notary - Charles Deseve.

1847 - March 3 - Death of Genevieve Colomblock (#3326204)

Note: Name index shows many spellings of Knoblock and several for Wallingford.

Marie Anne/Genevieve does not sign any of the records.
Joseph's signature can be found on the records, verifying that it is the same person (except for burial).

Father of Joseph is thought to be Nicholas Wallingsford born 22 Aug 1703 in Queen Ann's Parish, Maryland. It is thought that Nicholas moved to Montreal about 1739 but have no evidence of this. Have found no trace of him in the Genealogiequebec.com so far. I match up through DNA with others going back to his father Benjamin Wallingsford (1678-1733)

I match through DNA with a person who is primarily of black ancestry. Our common ancestor could go back to Nicholas Wallingford (born 1703, Maryland) and his partner...but who is she?

Would also like to know more about the Knoblock family. Apparently they are First Nations.

Wishing you luck with your family histories!

1- "1818 - March 17 - Joseph marries M-Anne Indien/ Quenonbleux (____ x Cath. Sauvage, ?? R. - Jeantot)" What does this refer to? Joseph and Marie Anne have been married since 1803...

2- "1836 - April 9 - Notary entry indexed on other database "Inventaire des biens de la communaute d'entre Joseph Willingford et feue Genevieve Konnoblack." Have not located the content of this document but may provide useful information. Seems to imply that Genevieve has passed--perhaps an error. Notary - Charles Deseve."

It does not imply that Genevieve has passed. She is about to remarry with Joseph Lemay so she is closing up the economic side of her first marriage...
