Donna Shirley (Connelly) Lamothe, born December 4, 1933. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our sweet Mother on January 7, 2018. She was predeceased by her daughter Diane and son Peter. Donna is survived by her daughter Rita (Rick) and their children Corinne (Darcy), Erin (Brent), Daniel (Morgan), Sara (Jared), and Russell and 7 Great Grand Children. Daughter Carol (Bob), daughter Karen (Del) and their children Sean and Martha. Son John (Karen), and their children, Kendra, Sephra and Kalum. Son Paul (Corrine) as well as Diane's children Natalie and Stephen, and Peter's daughter Katie. Mom was extremely proud to be of Irish/British ancestry which showed in her passion for the Royals. She was the youngest of 15 children born in London, Ontario and was nicknamed the Little Fire Engine because of her flaming red hair and the fiery spirit in her voice. The day mom became a certified Judicial Clerk for the Provincial Court of Alberta, was a great day for us all and especially a proud one for her. Our mother will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family with sacrifices for us too numerous to put into words. On her own, she made sure us kids were well taken care of, even if it meant she had to go without, which she did often. She took such pride in all her children's successes and especially loved to spend time with her family. She emulated the true definition of Mother. We will miss the visits for coffee, the phone calls, the lunches, sharing a bag of cheezies and going to the movies with her. Goodbye to Our Little House on the Prairie girl, you will be missed. I want to stop the clocks tonight I want to tear the hands right off I want to stop the world from turning And stay here right now for good Clocks - Leona Lewis Published in The Edmonton Journal on Jan. 11, 2018
