Stewart, Donald William With sorrow and thanksgiving for a life well lived, the family announces the death of Donald William Stewart, on April 12 in St. Joseph's Hospice, London. Dearly loved by his wife, Irla Telfer Stewart, and three daughters, and their families. Carole Ann Anderson (Bob) Mississauga, Louise Diane (Tom) Markham, and Brenda Leigh Mercer (Steve) Belleville, grand children Catherine Anderson, David Anderson (Jenny) Karin Anderson, Meghan McGill (Sean Albert) Eric McGill, Jake McGill (Erin), Jessie Mercer, Max Mercer, and three great grands, Brady, Felix, Adelaide. Don was born on July 21, 1928 on a farm on Argyle Street, East Williams, son of Roy and Margaret Stewart, the brother of Margaret Bennett Alder, Toronto. He is a proud 1951 graduate of OAC Guelph, Chemicals (Agrico) working in Ontario and Quebec which involved moving from London to Toronto in 1960. In 1973, he became a partner with Bill Hearn, Epps Manufacturing, Clinton, serving as Marketing Manager. This brought his family to Goderich, where they enjoyed living in that wonderful town on Lake Huron. Don was proud of his daughters, grateful that he could provide them all with good educations, and happy that they are a great support to each other, and their fine families. We wish to thank Dr. Vineet Nair, nurse Peggy, and the staff and volunteers of St. Joseph's Hospice for their loving care. Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life in Wesley Knox United Church, 41 Askin Street, London on Tuesday, April 16 at 1:30 p.m., with refreshments following the service. Memorial donations to Wesley Knox United Church or St. Joseph's Hospice would be appreciated. Published on April 13, 2019 in The London Free Press, ON
