Stanley Haworth At the age of 96, Stan passed away very peacefully at the Amica Retirement Home, Dundas, Ontario. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn; daughters, Heather Haworth (Donald Macdonald) and Susan Strong (Joel); grandchildren, Tom and Jamie Guildford, Nicole and Jeremy Strong; and great-grandchildren, Lily, Gabriel, Kinley and Ethan Guildford. Stan was outstanding in his field as a banker. He rose up the ranks from an accountant to manager, corporate manager, V. P. international credit, CIBC. At 60, he established Bank Leumi Toronto. He ended his career as an auditor with the Bank of Canada. He was most proud of his contributions to his communities. He was an active member of the Rotary Club. He established the Junior Rotary Club in Lorne Park. He also established the tennis organization in Carlisle. Stan was the driving force in the development of Cliff Court Park. He was an avid member of the Amica Glee Club. He asked to be remembered as 'a fellow who tried to do his best to help his family whenever he could. 'A funeral and reception will be held at St. George's Anglican Church, 7051 Guelph Line, immediately north of Derry Road, Campbellville, Friday, January 12 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will occur Monday, January 15 1:00 p.m. at York Cemetery, North York. Donations may be made to the Royal Botanical Gardens, ON. Eastern Blue Bird Society or Rotary Club Foundation.
