Lang, Margaret Ella (Anwender) September 10, 1926 - May 4, 2019 It is with sadness and yet gratitude for 92 years that we announce the peaceful passing of our loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Margaret. Her memory will live on in our hearts. Mom was born the sixth of seven children to Jacob and Barbara in the Huronville district near Mutrie on what is now the Hubert Weisner farm. The family moved to the Kendal area in 1945. Mom finished her grade 11 and 12 in Sedley, then after graduating from Teachers College in Moose Jaw, she became a one room school teacher at Whitewood, Lampman, Sibel Plains and Erwin schools. On October 29, 1951 she married the love of her life, Henry and in the spring of 1952 moved to the farm at Tyvan where they raised a family of four. Gardening and flowers were mom's pride and passion, there was always an abundance of fresh vegetables shared with family, friends and neighbors. Oil painting and crocheting were our mother's hobbies and we cherish her work. In 1988 mom and dad moved to Robert's Plaza in Regina. After dad's passing in 2012 mom spent time in West Haven Manor, Langenburg, Brightwater and College Park II, Regina and finally Fillmore Union Health Centre. Mom was predeceased by her husband of 60 years Henry; parents Jacob and Barbara (nee Gerein) Anwender; stepmother Elizabeth Protz (nee Lang); all of her siblings and their spouses; and numerous sisters and brothers-in-law. Left to mourn and cherish her memory are her children Wayne (Rosetta), Shirley (Morley), Dale (Shawn) and Verne (Wendi); 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family wishes to sincerely thank the staff of the Fillmore Union Health Centre for their wonderful care of our mother since March 2017. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Resurrection Roman Catholic Parish, 3155 Windsor Park Road, Regina, SK on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Margaret may be made to the Fillmore Union Health Centre, Activity Fund, Box 246, Fillmore, SK S0G 1N0, or a charity of your choice. Family and friends are invited to sign the online obituary and tributes page at www.reginafuneralhome.ca. Published on May 7, 2019 in The Leader Post, Regina, SK
