Fiorante, Vincent (Vincenzo) On Saturday, May 4, 2019, a light went out for the family and friends of Vincent (Vincenzo) Fiorante, one of the most incredible people anyone could ever know. His huge heart tried so hard to keep up with his big personality, but it, along with our Lord, decided it was time to say good-bye. Vince was born to Antonio and Carmela Fiorante in Civitanova del Sannio, Italy. Vince was very close with his family from a young age, living on their small farm in Italy with aunts, uncles and cousins, until he immigrated to Canada. When he was 15 years old, he, his mother and brother, Joe, were reunited with his father in Regina. Embracing the opportunities in his new home, he began working several jobs, including a position with the City of Regina. He found his true calling when he, Joe, and cousins, Felix and Dominic, started building homes over 50 years ago. Vince and Joe's passion for construction and development evolved into Fiorante Homes and Commercial Ltd. Vince loved contributing to the growth of the city. He took pride in every facet of the business including quality of construction, selection of trades, customer service and finished product. It is difficult to drive through any area of Regina without seeing the legacy he has left behind. As a result of his honest, knowledgeable and straight forward approach, Vince was a leader in the local construction industry. He was well respected and admired by his peers and customers. When not working, Vince and Linda enjoyed packing the family up (with Joe and Marilyn's) and road tripping to destinations near and far. More recently, the four could be found vacationing at their home in Phoenix. His immediate and extended family was paramount in his life. Vince cherished spending time with his family and friends, watching his children, and later grandchildren, participate in extracurricular activities, cheering on the Riders, and sharing good food and wine. The memory of his outgoing personality, gift for making people feel special, ability to have a lot of fun, infectious laugh and twinkle in his eyes will truly be treasured. Vince will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his wife of 56 blessed years, Linda; his pride and joy, sons Dean and Rob; daughter-in-law Daphne; grandsons Tyler and Brady; granddaughter Jenna; best friend and brother, Joe; sister-in-law Marilyn; nieces/goddaughters Christina (Mark Lang, Parker and Makayla) and Paula (Greg Hazel, Emilia and Everett); mother-in-law, Vi Bryson; sister-in-law Marcy Nast; nieces Stacy (Shawn Schwindt), Nonnie Nast, Sandra (Tom Borstmayer), Cheryl (Jamie Chan) and Patti Schultz; nephew Randy Winik; and the Fiorante Homes family. We invite all those who made Vince's life so complete to join us in celebration. A Funeral Mass will be held at Resurrection Roman Catholic Parish located at 3155 Windsor Park Road, Regina, SK on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. Many thanks to the numerous doctors and specialists, as well as the wonderful nurses at the Regina General Hospital who took care of him. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 1738 Quebec Avenue Unit 26, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9 or to the Hospitals of Regina Foundation, #225 1874 Scarth Street, Regina, SK S4P 4B3 may be made in memory of Vince.
