Herzog, Pnina In Jerusalem, on January 21, 2005, at age 79, after a long illness. Mother of Shira, Eliezra and Isaac Shai Herzog, grandmother of Kobi Bessin. A pharmacist by training and deeply committed to public health issues, Pnina was past president of the International Council of Women (ICW) and a member of the executive of the World Health Organization (WHO). Prior to retirement, she was assistant deputy minister in charge of international relations at Israel's Ministry of Health. Pnina was the widow of Yaacov Herzog, Israeli Ambassador to Canada from 1960 - 63. Donations to Canadian Friends of Shaarei Tzedec Hospital. The Globe and Mail, 2005-01-26
