Your subscription gives you access to all Genealogy Quebec collections and research tools: over 100 million historical records and images to help you trace your ancestors from Quebec, Acadia and French North America.
Explore birth, marriage and death records, censuses, obituaries, notarial records and much more. Your subscription also includes one question per month for our team of experts to help you with your research.
Both subscriptions include access to the same collections, tools and expert assistance.
The monthly subscription is billed each month. The annual subscription is billed in one payment for a full year and costs less than twelve monthly payments. Prices are listed in Canadian dollars.
When automatic renewal is enabled, your subscription renews at the end of each billing period, according to your selected plan: monthly or annual.
You can check and change this setting in the Billing section of your profile. Payments made by phone are one-time payments and do not renew automatically.
Log in to your account, then visit the Billing section of your profile to turn off automatic renewal.
Make this change before your next renewal date to avoid the next charge.
Each month, your subscription allows you to ask our team of experts one question to help guide your research, interpret a document or find an ancestor. Describe your question and include any useful information or documents to help our team respond.
You can hold one included question at a time: unused questions do not accumulate from month to month. If you need more help, you can purchase additional questions on top of your included question.
You can pay online by credit card or PayPal. We also accept cheques.
To pay by credit card over the phone, call us at 514-400-3961. Phone payments are one-time payments and do not renew automatically.
Yes. Genealogy Quebec is available in both English and French, including its menus, research tools and user guides.
Original records remain in their original language. However, many records include a transcription or an indexed entry presenting the key information in a bilingual interface, making them easier to consult.
