Scrannage, Muriel A. (nee Gregg) - Born October 12, 1929 in Uxbridge, Ontario and died peacefully on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Trillium Ridge Nursing Home in her 90th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 66 years, Edwin William Scrannage (died January 7th, 2019). Survived by their children: Bill (Theresa), Mike (Karen), Mary, Patty (Tony) and Nancy (Steve). She also leaves behind her cherished 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Frank Richard Gregg and Emily May Gregg (nee Ball) and her brother Robert. She is survived by her sisters Marion Graham (Harvey) and Arlene Saunders (Bob, deceased). Muriel worked for many years at Sears as the Estee Lauder representative; which she enjoyed very much. In addition, for many years she managed the financial affairs of the Hindquarter which she and Ed opened in 1976. When Mom and Dad retired, they were able to enjoy over 20 years of winters in Florida. She was an active member of The Order of the Eastern Star, Kingston Chapter. The family wishes to sincerely thank the kind and dedicated staff of Trillium Ridge Nursing Home for their compassionate and professional care of Muriel. Visitation at the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Home, 435 Davis Drive Centennial Dr. and Taylor-Kidd Blvd) on Saturday, April 13th, 2019 from 12:00 noon until the time of the Funeral Service in Our Chapel at 2:30 pm. Final Place of Rest in Cataraqui Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations in Muriel's name may be made to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (U. H. K. F.).
