Katherine Elizabeth Kay Wilker, 97, of Tavistock passed away peacefully with family by her side at PeopleCare Tavistock on Friday, December 28, 2018. She was born in Tavistock on April 27, 1921, a daughter of the late Theodore and Alma (Capling) Neeb. Kay had worked at the J. G. Field & Co. Ltd. Woollen Mill and McConnell Nursery, both in Tavistock; was a member of the former, Tavistock Legion Ladies Auxiliary of Branch #518; was a Charter Member of the Legion Mixed Dart League; was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Tavistock where she was a member of St. Paul's Ladies Guild. She married Edward William Wilker in Tavistock on January 26, 1946. He predeceased her on March 9, 1993. Kay is survived by three children, Judy and Jim Harris, Mary Jane and Jim Wettlaufer, Perry and Lynne Wilker, all of Tavistock; eight grandchildren, Alan Dolson, Bob and Tracey Burgess, Carrie Tinning, Allison and Ken Donaldson, Bonnie and James Kropf, Wayne and Janice Wettlaufer, Jennifer and Mark Numan, Stephanie Wilker and Randy Wouters; ten great-grandchildren, Vanessa and Kendrick James, Benjamin Dolson, Dennis Tinning and Jess Miles, Brandon Tinning and Kelsey Chipman, Quin Kropf and Ciarra LeBlanc, Deven Kropf and Lauren Holdsworth, Owen Burgess, Nash Burgess, Jacob Numan and Chloe Donaldson; seven great-great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Mae Neeb. Kay was predeceased by her grandson-in-law, Ray Tinnig; her brothers and sister-in-law, Alvin and Lenora Neeb, Elmer Neeb, Gordon Neeb and Douglas Neeb; her sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Donald Mutch; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert and Ruby Wilker, Walter and Anne Wilker and Laura Wilker. Relatives and friends were received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock St. N., Tavistock where the funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at 2 p.m. The Rev. William Kramer officiating. Reception followed. Interment in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Tavistock will be later in the spring.
