Alice Clara Berg March 28, 1924-March 20, 2018 Alice Berg of Edmonton passed away peacefully at the Venta Care Centre in Edmonton in the early morning hours of March 20, 2018, 8 days before her 94th birthday. Alice was born in Camrose, Alberta in 1924. She joined the Canadian Women's Army Corps in February of 1942 and served for the duration of WW2. She was an independent career woman of her day and was always a well respected employee and co-worker. Alice possessed a passion for travel throughout her life and was able to explore and make friends all over the world. She lived her life as a generous and charitable woman, with a deep connection to family and pride in her Swedish and Norwegian heritage. Alice could always be counted on to maintain caring relationships with her numerous extended family members. Alice was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Clara Berg, her brother Glen, nephew Gregory and best friend Ethel. She leaves to celebrate her life; her devoted brother Emil and his wife Deane, cousins, friends and nieces and nephews and their families. The family would like to thank the staff of Venta Care Center for their care and kindness during the last years of Alice's life. A memorial service, with lunch to follow, will be held on Saturday, March 24th at 11am, in the Chapel at Robertson-Wesley United church, 10209 123 street, Edmonton.
